Marti R. Jewell, DMin, is associate professor emerita, having previously served as associate professor of pastoral theology and graduate program director in the Neuhoff School of Ministry at the University of Dallas. In 2017 she was named the University’s “Michael A. Haggar Scholar.” She directed the Emerging Models of Pastoral Leadership Project, a national research initiative funded by the Lilly Endowment, Inc., designed to study excellence in parish leadership. Previously she served as a diocesan director in the Archdiocese of Louisville. Most recently she led a national research project for “Foundation and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities” (FADICA). The project, Open Wide the Doors to Christ, conducted an extensive survey of pastoral leaders, bishops, and pastors interested in parish vitality and Catholic social innovation.
