Terryl Brown, JD, MBA, ‘19 MSCM, is the chief legal counsel/deputy commissioner for legal affairs and administration for the Fire Department of New York and distinguished Villanova MSCM alum. Brown oversees the management of ten units in the department and provides advice and counsel to the fire commissioner and his executive staff. She has a strong commitment to public service and has spent the majority of her legal career in government service. She was the first woman to serve as executive vice president and general counsel of the New York Power Authority. Brown has served as acting counsel to Governor David Paterson; first assistant counsel to Governor Eliot Spitzer; and counsel and chief ethics officer to Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman.
